Mixing Technician – Night Shift

Location: Peterborough
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, On-site
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 16:00 – 02:00 (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Training: 3 weeks on day shift (08:00 – 16:00)
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Mixing Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a highly regulated production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, safety-conscious individual who enjoys working with precision and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately weighing and mixing compounds used in the production process, ensuring all work is carried out in line with strict safety and quality standards.

Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates with the right attitude and work ethic, regardless of previous industry experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately weigh and mix materials according to production specifications and batch instructions
  • Follow all health, safety, and COSHH procedures when handling substances and materials
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy of mixed batches
  • Complete production records accurately, including batch numbers, quantities, and any issues identified
  • Report any safety concerns, spillages, equipment faults, or discrepancies promptly
  • Work closely with the wider production team to ensure materials are supplied efficiently
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and site regulations
Candidate Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Commitment to following procedures and maintaining high safety standards
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, mixing, batching, chemical processing, or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential
