Join a World-Class Manufacturing Team in Peterborough

Are you an experienced Warehouse & FLT Operator ready to join a high-performing manufacturing environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are at the heart of everything you do?

At Crown, we're not just producing cans, we're creating world-class products with precision, innovation, and pride. With over 130 years of global success, 179 plants across 39 countries, and a reputation for operational excellence, we offer the stability of a global leader combined with the energy of a growing, cutting-edge site.

Our Peterborough facility is a standout success story, recognised internally as "Overall Best Plant in EMEA" within just three years of opening. As we continue to expand, we're looking for talented Warehouse & FLT Operators to play a key role in supporting our operations and ensuring materials flow safely and efficiently across the plant.

The Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for supporting the end to end flow of materials, packaging and finished goods across the entire manufacturing site. Operating as a highly autonomous member of the Logistics team, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders and provide quality customer service in house and to our external hauliers to ensure materials are available when needed and customer deliveries are executed safely, efficiently and on time.

You'll carry out material movements across multiple departments, supporting all site activities whilst ensuring the safe transportation, storage and traceability of raw materials and finished products throughout our fast-paced automated manufacturing environment. You'll also take responsibility for accurate inventory transactions, stock movements, goods receipt and dispatch activities through SAP; ensuring system accuracy and maintaining seamless material flow across our operation.

This isn't just about moving materials. It's about contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and world-class customer service. You'll be part of a team that takes pride in supporting the success of the entire manufacturing operation.

What's on Offer

  • Salary of 46,915
  • Pension scheme and healthcare benefits
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Opportunities to work within a world-class manufacturing environment
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Clear progression pathways within a global organisation
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture

What You'll Bring

You'll be a proactive and safety-conscious individual with experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments. You'll have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and service.

A technical qualification such as an NVQ, BTEC, HNC, Diploma, or equivalent in a Mechanical, Logistics, or related discipline would be advantageous. A Forklift Truck Licence and/or previous experience operating FLTs is essential.

You'll bring significant experience using SAP or other similar ERP systems, demonstrating confidence managing processes with a high degree of independence. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, is confident making decisions within their area of responsibility and is comfortable working in a technology driven environment.

Unlike a traditional FLT role, this position also includes customer-facing and administrative responsibilities, making strong communication skills highly desirable. Success in the role requires both hands on warehouse expertise and the confidence to work extensively with SAP.

Why Crown?

At Crown Peterborough, we invest in our people because we know they drive our success. In just three years, around 20% of our team has been promoted, and many others have been supported through apprenticeships in areas such as Mechatronics, HR, Continuous Improvement, and Leadership.

You'll be joining a business that genuinely lives its values, where high performance is recognised, development is supported, and teamwork is at the core of everything we do.
