As we continue to invest in our people and technology, we're looking for a Deco Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team and play a key role in maintaining and optimising our decorating equipment.

The Opportunity

Working Monday
- Friday as our Deco Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and improving Decorators, Pin Ovens and associated equipment to ensure maximum machine availability and product quality. Working closely with both Production and Engineering teams, you will respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out preventative maintenance activities and provide technical expertise to minimise downtime and drive operational performance.

You'll be involved in diagnosing print defects, optimising machine settings, refurbishing key components such as Inker Units and CIC Rollers, and supporting planned maintenance programmes across the department.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of critical production equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, quality and efficiency throughout the plant.

What You'll Bring

You'll be a proactive and hands-on engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience and a passion for equipment reliability. You will have proven experience diagnosing faults, carrying out planned maintenance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. A Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering is essential.

You'll possess strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement effective solutions. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across departments will be key to success in this role. Experience supporting maintenance planning, spare parts management and equipment optimisation would be advantageous, alongside a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.

Desirable Experience

Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Beverage can-making industry experience

Experience with printing and decorating processes
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques
Experience supporting equipment installations, trials and commissioning activities
Experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience
