The Role My client, a well-established and growing print manufacturing business based in Peterborough, is looking to recruit experienced Lithographic Printers to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled print professionals with experience operating lithographic printing presses, who is committed to delivering high-quality products, maintaining production standards and working efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Set up, operate and maintain lithographic printing presses, including Heidelberg SM74 machinery. Produce high-quality printed products in line with customer specifications and approved proofs. Ensure colour accuracy and consistency throughout production runs. Read and interpret job bags, work orders, proofs and production instructions. Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning and basic troubleshooting of press equipment. Monitor print quality and make adjustments as required to maintain standards.
Complete production and performance records accurately. Ensure jobs are prepared correctly for finishing and subsequent production processes. Follow company quality assurance, colour management and ISO procedures. Label and document finished work in accordance with company procedures. Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment. Adhere to Health & Safety, Quality and Information Security policies at all times. Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support production operations. Skills & Experience Required Essential Previous experience operating lithographic printing presses.
Experience with in a commercial print or packaging environment. Strong understanding of colour management and print quality standards. Ability to work from production specifications and customer requirements. Excellent attention to detail. Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards.
Desirable Experience operating Heidelberg presses, particularly SM74. Knowledge of ISO quality procedures. Print-related qualifications or industry training. Personal Attributes Reliable and dependable. Strong communication skills. Organised and able to manage workload effectively. Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
