Manufacturing Operative

Shifts:
Rotating weekly – 2:00pm–10:00pm / 6:00am–2:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Tallington.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing or warehouse experience who is looking for a hands‑on role within a busy production environment.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring products are manufactured, assembled and packed to the required quality, safety and production standards.
The RoleAs a Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating production equipment safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Working as part of a team and independently within a busy manufacturing environment
- Ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards
- Carrying out general operative duties across different departments
- Completing assembly work accurately and efficiently
- Palletising large components ready for storage or dispatch
- Picking and packing small parts accurately against documented bills and instructions
- Moving between departments and supporting different areas of production as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following company procedures and production instructions at all times
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Previous warehouse or production experience
- Experience working to production targets and quality standards
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written instructions, bills and procedures
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A flexible approach and willingness to support different departments
- Previous experience operating plastic forming machines would be advantageous
