Tool Technician

Location: Tallington, PE9. Own transport essential.

Shifts: Rotational shift pattern Monday to Friday 6/2 & 2/10

Ambitions Personnel is recruiting a Tool Technician for an established manufacturing business at its Tallington site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician with a background in tooling and maintenance to join a leading business supplying innovative infrastructure products.

Working alongside the production and maintenance teams, you will help keep machinery, tooling and equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out tool changeovers and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Responding to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining tooling, equipment and facilities to a high standard.
• Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements.

• Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance and mould tooling.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Understanding of PUWER and LOLER regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a rotational shift pattern.

Experience in injection moulding, Lean Manufacturing or a relevant engineering qualification would be advantageous.
