Overview
The role of Rector of the benefice of Whittlesey, Pondersbridge and Coates is an opportunity to lead four diverse but interconnected churches within a growing fenland community. The benefice serves 18,000 people in this area and surrounds the community within four miles of Peterborough.
Missional Challenges and Opportunities- Continuing to grow younger and more diverse – maintain momentum in baptising families, expanding Alpha, developing local teams, and engaging new residents.
- Growing Missional Disciples – foster discipleship through bible studies, LYCIG, weekly study groups, mid‑week services, men’s and women’s ministries, community breakfasts, and Worship Wednesdays.
- Rebuilding a sense of team – enhance the diversity of mission and worship to share the gospel with all in the community.
- Renewing buildings for mission – develop three of the four church buildings and renew the hall.
