Role DescriptionThe Senior Partnerships Executive (Major Donors & Philanthropy) is a full-time, on-site role based in Peterborough. This role focuses on building and managing strategic relationships with major donors, philanthropic partners, and high-value supporters to grow income and impact. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and researching prospective donors, preparing tailored proposals and cases for support, and maintaining regular, meaningful communication with existing and potential partners.
The role involves planning and delivering donor engagement activities and events, collaborating with colleagues to develop compelling fundraising campaigns, and monitoring donor pipelines and income forecasts. The Senior Partnerships Executive will also track performance against targets, prepare reports and insights for senior leadership, and ensure all fundraising activities align with the organisation’s values and legal and ethical standards.
- Strong Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships skills, with evidence of building and sustaining high-value donor or philanthropic relationships.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear written communication, confident presentation abilities, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for assessing donor data, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for income growth.
- Experience in Sales or relationship-based fundraising, with a track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets.
- Previous experience in major donor fundraising, philanthropy, or high-level account management, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, manage multiple projects, and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in records and reporting.
- Comfort with CRM or fundraising databases and basic proficiency in MS Office or similar tools.
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Leprosy Mission Great Britain; understanding of or openness to working within a Christian organisational context.
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in fundraising, business development, marketing, or a related field.
