Endoscopy Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse - Peterborough
An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse position within the Endoscopy Unit in the Surgical Division at Peterborough City Hospital.
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse with excellent communication skills and recent endoscopy experience. This role is essential in supporting the senior nursing team by providing clinical leadership and driving the delivery and continuous improvement of high standards of patient care and experience.

Responsibilities- Support the Unit Manager in delivering the highest standard of care throughout each patient’s pathway, while enhancing the patient experience, maintaining clinical credibility, and promoting the sharing of knowledge.
- Act as a clinical role model and provide support across a wide range of endoscopic procedures.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Endoscopy team, wider clinical teams, Matron, Practice Development Team (PDT), and the multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
- RN Adult NMC Registration
- Evidence of Degree level study
- Recognised Mentoring/Teaching and Assessing Course
- Demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development
- Leadership Course
- Recent experience within Endoscopy Speciality
- Evidence of day‑to‑day management of the Endoscopy Unit
- Evidence of role development within Endoscopy
- Experience of mentoring/teaching
- Understanding of Healthcare Governance and audit process
- Clinical role model who is committed to improving standards of patient care
- Strong Leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise personal and team workload
- Demonstrable teaching skills
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Salary£39,959 to £48,117 a year pro rata
