Night Registered Veterinary Nurse Dick White Referrals

£32,860 to £36,040 DOE Permanent | Full Time 4 nights on, 5 nights off | 37.5 hours per week

Looking for a nursing role where every night is different? If you are a passionate and enthusiastic RVN looking to develop your career within a specialist referral environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

At Dick White Referrals, you will join a vibrant Night Team working in a busy, purpose-built clinic with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities expected of a flagship specialist veterinary centre. As a Night Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across all of our wards, including ICU, caring for canine and feline patients across all disciplines. You will also be involved in the care and triage of emergencies admitted out of hours.

No two nights are the same, making this a challenging and interesting role with generous time off and a 4 on 5 off pattern that supports a good work life balance.

What will your nursing role involve?

As a Night Nurse, you will:

  • Work across all wards, including ICU
  • Nurse canine and feline patients across all disciplines
  • Be involved in the care and triage of emergencies admitted out of hours
  • Be allocated to a ward for the duration of your set of shifts
  • Get to know your patients and recognise changes in their condition
  • Work alongside a team of Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Interns
  • Have a Specialist from each department on call
  • Work 12-hour shifts from 18.30 to 06.30
  • Follow a 4 nights on, 5 nights off pattern

You will be supported to develop Referral nursing experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

  • Soft Tissue Surgery
