This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting product safety across the operation.
This role would suit someone with strong technical knowledge, a hands-on approach, and the confidence to work collaboratively across production, technical, and hygiene teams. You will play a key part in protecting product integrity, supporting compliance, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a broad range of quality and technical activities, including:
* Carrying out routine inspections and testing of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
* Reviewing process control records to ensure compliance with food safety standards and customer requirements.
* Supporting complaint investigations, non-conformance reviews, and corrective action activity.
* Completing hygiene, GMP, fabrication, and foreign body audits across the site.
* Monitoring and verifying allergen controls, environmental monitoring, and product sampling programmes.
* Supporting stock release, product certification, and dispatch integrity.
* Working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
* Contributing to root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and KPI reporting.
We are looking for a confident and capable quality professional with experience gained within the food or drink manufacturing sector.
You will bring a strong understanding of food safety systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.
Essential experience and skills
* Previous experience in a quality assurance, technical, or food safety role within food or drink manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
* Understanding of HACCP principles and relevant industry standards.
* Experience in auditing, inspections, and non-conformance management.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Good IT and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to prioritise effectively and work collaboratively across departments.
Desirable
* Food Safety Level 3.
* HACCP Level 3.
* Experience with BRCGS, ISO standards, TACCP, or customer quality standards.
* A food science or related qualification.
