The Formulation Chemist Role As a Formulation Chemist, you will play a key role in researching, designing and optimising formulations to meet demanding performance and manufacturing requirements. Working closely with engineers, product developers and production teams, you will help deliver innovative products to market.
Key Responsibilities as our Formulation Chemist Develop and optimise photopolymer resin formulations for 3D printing and related technologies. Design and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate formulation performance. Characterise materials using analytical and physical testing techniques. Analyse experimental data and make evidence-based recommendations for formulation improvements. Scale laboratory formulations into pilot and production environments. Support product validation, quality improvement and troubleshooting activities.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation. Stay informed of developments in polymer chemistry, materials science and additive manufacturing. Work collaboratively across R&D, Production, Quality and Commercial teams. Who We're Looking For in our Formulation Chemist This role is ideal for either a recent Chemistry graduate looking to start their career in formulation and materials development, or an experienced Formulation Chemist seeking their next challenge.

About You Essential Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or a related discipline. Ideally experience in formulation development within an industrial or research environment.
Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret experimental data and communicate findings clearly. Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Desirable Experience with UV-curable systems, photopolymers or resin chemistry. Knowledge of polymerisation mechanisms and material characterisation techniques.
Experience with in additive manufacturing, coatings, adhesives, inks or composites. Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical analysis. Experience supporting scale-up from laboratory to manufacturing.
