Customer Team Member

Customer Team Member (SPAR 18+) Yaxley

Min. 16 hours per week, with possibility of more hours as required by the store.

Works various shifts including evenings and weekends.

Support the store management team and create a positive customer experience while contributing to sales and continuous improvement of the store.

• Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answering customer inquiries and assisting in locating products.
• Processing customer purchases accurately through the tills.
• Upselling selected products and highlighting multi‑buy offers.
• Managing stock including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean sales floor.
• Completing additional tasks such as date checking, stock checks, price changes, promotional displays, and other duties as required.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and processes.

• Previous experience in a similar retail role is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of legislative responsibilities in a retail environment.
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
• Experience with the ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.
• Enthusiastic approach to teamwork and independent work.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not essential.

Salary: Up to £12.75 per hour (depending on age).

Contract type: Permanent.
