Retail Sales Assistant – Keyholder
As a Retail Sales Assistant you are the face of the brand on the shop floor, creating moments that delight customers and supporting the team to run the store efficiently. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service, keep the store well stocked and tidy, operate tills accurately, and support sales and stock delivery. For those who act as a Keyholder you will also open and close the store, handle cash, and carry out basic management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to every customer.
- Maintain excellent store standards, including merchandising, cleanliness, and stock replenishment.
- Operate tills accurately and handle transactions with care.
- Support deliveries, stockroom organisation, and product availability.
- Follow all operational procedures, including health & safety and loss prevention.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet store targets and KPIs.
- Stay informed about promotions, products, and services to help customers make informed choices.
- Be a brand ambassador—positive, professional, and passionate about what we do.
- Manage physical tasks such as stairs and heavy stock.
- Open and close the store securely.
- Conduct cash handling and cashing up.
- Carry out management responsibilities in the absence of a manager.
- Passion for delivering great customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work varied shifts.
- Comfortable using tills and handling cash.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- For keyholders: experience with store opening/closing and basic supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred experience in customer service or hospitality, with a proven ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Must be at least 18 years old and able to undertake training to become a keyholder if applicable.
