Location: Orton Southgate, Peterborough
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our growing team based in Peterborough. You'll be responsible for procuring products, ensuring stock is secured on competitive terms and available when required.

Working alongside the General Manager and Category Managers, you'll identify opportunities to improve margins, negotiate better supplier terms and support the introduction of new product ranges.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a buying or procurement environment
• A solid understanding of the buying cycle
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent buying and demand forecasting ability
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Experience managing KPIs and budgets
• Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, positive attitude and a collaborative approach

Knowledge of manufacturing processes or technical product areas would be advantageous but is not essential.
