Everything you need to knowAs a Field Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater systems across multiple sites, identifying faults, and ensuring effective solutions. You’ll play a key role in customer service, helping to build strong relationships and maintain satisfaction.
Some of your key accountabilities will be:
- Undertaking day‑to‑day operations of water and wastewater assets to defined internal quality standards.
- Fault‑finding, installing, repairing, inspecting, replacing, and maintaining aspects of fixed plant and equipment as requested to ensure it functions safely and effectively.
- Providing timely and accurate feedback on work to maintain up‑to‑date information and status of any allocated work.
- Maintaining professional expertise to repair/maintain a wide range of plant and equipment.
- Responding to asset failures across numerous sites and undertaking immediate fault diagnosis to restore service of the asset.
- Identifying appropriate spares needed for effective repair/maintenance of equipment based upon purchasing guidelines.
- Exercising judgement on equipment spend to balance safe repair with cost‑effectiveness, and providing feedback on asset conditions to assist ongoing maintenance.
This role dictates that you start from home and work across your allocated region, so a full UK driving licence is essential. There is a requirement to be on call 1 week in 7.
What you’ll bring to the roleNo experience is required as full training will be provided. The only requirement is that you have a full UK driving licence and a willingness to learn.
