We have an exciting opportunity for aPrison In-Reach Recovery Coordinatorwho has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs.
As a Prison In-Reach Recovery Coordinator youll build strong partnerships within the prison and CGL community treatment providers. Together youll improve access to support reduce reoffending and achieve better health and wellbeing outcomes for people affected by substance use.
Youll engage people who may be caught in a cycle of substance use and reoffending often alongside trauma complex circumstances and unmet needs. Working collaboratively with each person prison colleagues and community partners youll address immediate needs and coordinate the support required for release.
Your approach will be trauma-informed compassionate and focused on helping people build resilience reconnect with their communities and move towards safer more stable lives.

Hours:Full time 37.5 Hours per week
Type of Contract: 9-month fixed term with the possibility of an extension
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop clear individual action plans.
- Coordinate resettlement support and access to community services.
- Advocate for people and help them navigate the interventions available.
- Support people to address substance use offending and barriers to reintegration.
- Promote recovery resilience peer support and self-determination.
- Build strong relationships with prison teams security departments and external partners.
- Help identify and engage people with histories of substance use reoffending and custodial sentences.
- Work with individuals carers and communities to reduce drug- and alcohol-related harm.
About you
Youll bring a determined solutions-focused approach and experience of engaging people with multiple or complex needs.
Youll also have:
- Experience of working in substance use or a closely related field.
- Experience of supporting people with offending backgrounds including those subject to Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements.
- A good understanding of the criminal justice system and anti-social behaviour legislation.
- Knowledge of mental health interventions services and good practice.
- Strong communication relationship-building and IT skills.
- The confidence to work independently manage competing priorities and use your initiative.
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of professionals agencies and stakeholders.
- The ability to manage change while keeping the needs of people using our services at the centre of your work.
- The ability to obtain and maintain the required prison security clearance.
