PE Global is currently recruiting for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our technology client based in Cambourne. The role is an initial 24 month contract, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.
Asan Embedded Software Engineer ,youwillhavesignificantimpactonourmultidisciplinaryR&Dprojects,growwithusasweventureintonewtechnologies,andcontributetotheconnecteddeviceslineofproductsthroughoutbothdiscoveryanddelivery.
Youwilldesign,develop,debug,andoptimizerobust,production-readyfirmwareforresource-constrained,low-power
IoTdevices.
Theresponsibilitieswillincludedesigning,developing,debugging,andoptimizingembeddedfirmwareforlow-powerSTM
32-based
IoTdevices;integratingGNSS,Lo Raor Lo Ra WAN,andhardwareperipherals;
DevelopingwithinanRTOSenvironment;anddeliveringreliable,maintainable,production-readycodeincollaborationwithmultidisciplinaryproductandplatformteamsintheUK,Israeland California,USA.
- ApproximatelyfiveyearsofembeddedsoftwareengineeringexperienceusingC/C++.
- Hands-onexperiencewithSTM
32microcontrollersandembeddeddebugging. - Provendeliveryoflow-powerfirmwareforbattery-operated devices.
- ExperiencewithGNSS,Lo Raor Lo Ra WAN,embedded peripherals,andanRTOS.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyanddeliverproduction-ready,maintainable firmware.
- Experiencewithu-bloxM
10ornewerGNSSarchitectures. - Familiaritywithoscilloscopes,logic analyzers,multimeters,andJ-LinkorST-Link.
- Experience with Gitandcollaborativedevelopmentworkflows.
- AbilitytoreadhardwareschematicsandPCBlayouts.
- ExperienceusingAI-assisteddevelopmenttoolssuchas
Git Hub Copilotorcomparabletools .
