Working closely with the UK Sales and Service teams, the HGV Driver Trainer will play a key role in delivering professional driver training and supporting product demonstrations. This position is ideal for a confident HGV-qualified professional who enjoys customer-facing work, hands-on equipment operation, and frequent travel.

What's involved for the HGV Driver Trainer…

Deliver on-site HGV operator and driver training to customers, ensuring health & safety and best practice standards are met
Provide driver training at customer premises or company HQ on specialist equipment
Support the sales team by carrying out professional demonstrations of equipment, and specialist HGV machinery
Transport demonstration equipment to customer sites, with overnight stays (typically several days per week)
Work directly with customer personnel to showcase equipment features, benefits, and full operating capabilities
Assist with operator training following delivery of new vehicles and equipment
Deliver new machines to customers when required
Tailor demonstrations in line with Sales Manager requirements
Work closely with Sales and Service teams to ensure a consistent customer experience
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge through regular training

What you'll need…

HGV driving licence
Knowledge of UK driving hours regulations
Experience operating commercial vehicles or specialist equipment
Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at all customer levels
Good general education, including English and Maths
Strong time management and organisational skills
Professional appearance, adhering to corporate standards

This is a full-time, permanent HGV Driver Trainer role, working 40 hours per week, with flexibility required up to 45 hours per week to meet business demands.
