Shunter Driver HGV Class 1; C+E

Overview

We are seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 driver for yard shunting duties at a busy agricultural bulk transport company.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 22:00 - 06:00.

This physically demanding role involves using a tug to shunt trailers, performing vehicle checks, and ensuring safety and customer service standards.

• Shunt trailers using a tug and manage yard movements safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report defects as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety and customer service standards.
• Couple and uncouple units as needed.
• Load and unload goods where required.
• Access and inspect trailers as part of duties.

• Experience in shunting and yard operations is preferred.
• Category C+E driving licence is preferred; full training provided if not held.
• Ability to couple/uncouple units, load/unload, and climb into trailers.

• Competitive hourly rate (£18.98-£21.03).
