HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to be trained as a Vacuum Excavator Operator to begin work for a well-established civil engineering company based in Reading , with projects across the South East, London, Midlands and nationwide .

About the role:

Working Hours Monday to Friday (Regular overtime and weekend work available) Pay Rate From £16.00 per hour (depending on experience) Brief

Role Description We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver who is eager to develop new skills by training as a Vacuum Excavator Operator . You will work with a modern fleet of specialist vacuum excavation vehicles, supporting major civil engineering, utility, rail, airport and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Duties will include:
Operating vacuum excavators safely and efficiently on customer sites Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment inspections Completing digital job reports and site paperwork Working closely with site teams and second operatives Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism Representing the company positively on-site Following all health and safety procedures Travelling to projects across the UK as required Full training provided Long-term opportunity with career progression Start: ASAP

About You:

High work ethic & team player Punctual & reliable Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (essential) Good understanding of health & safety Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication skills Previous vacuum excavation experience is beneficial but not essential CSCS, CPCS or NRSWA cards are advantageous Able to commute to Reading (RG7 4PW
