The Role
Temporary role - £12.71 per hour - Immediate start
We re looking for a hands-on Warehouse Inventory Controller who is equally comfortable carrying out stock control duties as they are picking, packing and supporting the wider warehouse operation. No two days are the same, so you ll need to be organised, detail-focused and happy working as part of a busy team.
Accuracy is everything in this role. You ll play a key part in ensuring stock records remain accurate, investigating discrepancies and helping maintain excellent service levels for customers.
What You ll Be DoingPicking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Monitoring stock levels and inventory movements throughout the warehouse.
Carrying out cycle counts and supporting regular stocktakes.
Investigating stock discrepancies, shortages, overages and missing inventory.
Reconciling physical stock against Warehouse Management System (WMS) records.
Identifying root causes of inventory issues and helping implement preventative measures.
Working closely with Goods In, Dispatch and the office team to resolve stock-related queries.
Supporting internal and external stock audits.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock integrity at all times.
Following warehouse procedures and health & safety standards.
Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
We re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in accuracy.
Ideally, you ll have:
Previous experience within a warehouse, inventory or stock control role.
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Strong attention to detail with excellent levels of accuracy.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confidence investigating stock discrepancies and identifying root causes.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues across different departments.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
Previous experience completing cycle counts and stocktakes.
Experience working within inventory control or stock management.
MHE experience or licences (if applicable).
