HSE Advisor – Major HVDC Infrastructure Project

* Client will provide expenses and accommodation for candidates that will be working away from home, ie: don't live in the local area
* We are recruiting an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major HVDC infrastructure project in Scotland.

The project involves the delivery and installation of 525kV high-voltage cable systems, supporting the expansion of renewable energy and the UK’s electricity transmission network.

This is a predominantly site-based role, working closely with project teams, contractors and subcontractors across onshore and nearshore activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HSE support and act as a visible safety presence on site.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and compliance.
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Support risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP workshops and emergency drills.
Monitor RAMS, method statements and permit-to-work requirements.
Carry out site inspections, safety walks and environmental checks.
Support HSE audits and incident/near-miss investigations.
Monitor compliance with UK legislation and project HSE requirements.
Track corrective actions, HSE KPIs and reporting.
Work closely with Site Management, Installation teams and the wider HSE function.
About You

Several years' experience as an HSE Advisor or similar site-based role.
Background in construction, civil engineering, energy, utilities or major infrastructure.
Experience working with contractors and subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of site inspections, RAMS, risk assessments, toolbox talks and incident investigations.
Good understanding of UK HSE legislation.
Confident communicator with a practical, proactive approach to safety.
NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.
Experience in HVDC, high-voltage, cable installation, offshore wind or marine projects advantageous..
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major UK energy infrastructure programme and gain experience on a technically complex 525kV HVDC project.
