Fleet Engineer, Buchan

Salary

£50,000 per annum. Joining bonus of £2,000 and a generous relocation package to the right candidate.

Fancy leading a team of engineers who maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, as well as managing plant and buildings? If the prospect of developing your engineering team and passing on your technical knowledge to both experienced technicians and eager‑to‑learn apprentices sounds interesting, we’re looking for an experienced engineer to join and lead our engineering team at our Buchan depots in Peterhead.

You’ll be leading a team of professionals who are nifty with a spanner, a mop and a paint brush – all of which are equally important. Our customers want a clean, reliable bus, and you will play a key role in delivering that outcome.

• Support, advise and manage the team on a daily basis to maintain and repair our fleet of around 45 buses and coaches.
• Manage buildings and equipment.
• Ensure vehicles are presented to high standards required by our customers.
• Exercise autonomy over resource management, stock and people.
• Order, manage inventory, recruit, train and oversee health & safety.
• Develop and grow the engineering team to enhance their skills.

• Relevant experience in a related engineering field (truck, light commercial, rail or similar).
• Demonstrable people‑management experience – evidence of managing teams, irrespective of size.
• Comfortable with the breadth of responsibilities outlined above.
