Leader Education is excited to recruit a Psychology Graduate (Or Related) Learning Support Assistant to join a large, well‑established SEND school in Peterlee. This is a rewarding long‑term opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

The school supports pupils aged 2–19 years
, including students with SEND and PMLD

• Full-time, long‑term position following a successful trial
• Working hours:
  
  Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities
• Building positive, trusting relationships to support learning, wellbeing and development

• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or PMLD (desirable)
• Hold a relevant educational background or experience related to the role
• Be adaptable, patient and committed to meeting a wide range of individual needs
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
