Mental Health Support Assistant – Education Setting

Location: Peterlee
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

This Mental Health Support Assistant role supports pupils who experience anxiety, emotional distress or behavioural difficulties that impact learning.

You’ll provide consistent emotional support within a structured school environment, helping pupils feel safe and able to engage.

Your role will include:

• Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing
• Helping manage anxiety and emotional dysregulation
• Supporting learning and classroom routines
• Providing reassurance during challenging moments
• Working alongside SEN and pastoral teams

This role suits someone with a background or interest in mental health support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
