Healthcare Assistant – Education-Based Role (Peterlee)

Location: Peterlee

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to work within a specialist education setting supporting children with complex needs.

This role is ideal for someone with healthcare experience who is looking to transition into an education environment while continuing to support children’s physical, emotional and wellbeing needs.

• Supporting pupils with personal care where required
• Assisting pupils with medical or physical needs
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and reassurance
• Helping pupils access learning in a safe, supportive way
• Working closely with teaching staff and specialist professionals
• Maintaining dignity, care and consistency throughout the school day

• Has experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role
• Is confident supporting children with additional needs
• Is compassionate, reliable and professional
• Can work calmly in a busy, structured environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
