Care Assistant – SEN and SEMH Provision

Location: Peterlee
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

We are recruiting a Care Assistant to support children with additional and complex needs in a specialist education setting.

This role combines care, emotional support and behaviour guidance, ensuring pupils feel supported throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with personal and emotional care
• Assisting with daily routines and transitions
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Encouraging independence and self-confidence
• Maintaining a safe, nurturing environment

This role is well suited to candidates with care or residential support experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
