SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision

A specialist SEN partner school in Peterlee is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant ahead of the new academic year.

The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and associated learning difficulties. Staff work closely together to provide personalised support and create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities
• Supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff

The ideal candidate will:

• Have SEN, care or support experience desirable
• Be resilient, patient and proactive
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be passionate about supporting vulnerable learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
