A specialist SEN school in Peterlee is seeking an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within an early years setting from September.

This nurturing provision supports young children with Autism, communication needs and developmental delays. The school focuses heavily on sensory learning, communication development and emotional wellbeing.

• Supporting pupils within the EYFS classroom
• Assisting with play‑based and sensory learning activities
• Encouraging communication and social interaction
• Supporting routines, transitions and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers and therapists

• Have experience working with EYFS or SEN pupils
• Be nurturing, patient and enthusiastic
• Understand the importance of early intervention
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills

This role would suit candidates from education, nursery, childcare or care backgrounds.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
