EYFS SEN Classroom Assistant

A welcoming specialist SEN school in Peterlee is recruiting for an EYFS SEN Classroom Assistant to join their early years team.

The school supports children with Autism, developmental delays, speech and language needs and sensory processing difficulties through a highly nurturing and therapeutic approach.

• Supporting children with play‑based learning
• Assisting with communication and interaction development
• Encouraging emotional regulation and social skills
• Supporting routines and transitions throughout the school day
• Working alongside experienced SEN professionals

• Have childcare, nursery or SEN experience
• Be nurturing, patient and engaging
• Have a strong understanding of early years development
• Be passionate about inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
