Permanent – Full‑Time, Part‑Time or Sessional

£12.21 per hour plus excellent benefits.

Lifeways Complex Care and Autism Division is recruiting permanent members of staff for Unity House in Peterlee, County Durham.

Unity House is a 21‑bed residential home providing accommodation for adults aged 18 and over. Residents have a diagnosis of intellectual disability and may also have co‑existing mental health or physical impairments.

The service supports adults who can present with behavioural distress, requiring passionate, empathetic and understanding support workers. The overarching aim is to ensure people we support receive the highest quality of life possible.

• Provide day‑to‑day personal care and support to residents.
• Promote independence and assist residents with daily living tasks.
• Approach support with a person‑centred value at the forefront at all times.
• Work as part of a team, using initiative to solve problems that may arise.
• Completing required documentation and attending training and induction sessions.

Experience is not essential as full induction and on‑site training will be provided.

We are looking for staff with drive and passion for supporting adults in all aspects of everyday life. A strong emphasis is placed on developing and promoting independence.
