Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Location: Peterlee, County Durham

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000(OTE - 50k)

Shift: Days

I'm working with a growing manufacturer looking to recruit an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join its production team. You'll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality sheet metal components from engineering drawings and specifications. The role will involve cutting, folding, forming, drilling and assembling a variety of metal products while ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and tolerances.

You'll use a range of fabrication equipment, including press brakes, guillotines and other workshop machinery. Depending on your experience, the role may also involve MIG and TIG welding, supporting proto@type work and contributing to improvements across the production process. Sector - Manufacturing

• Previous metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and work accurately from engineering drawings.
• Experience operating fabrication machinery
• Confident measuring, marking out, cutting, folding and forming sheet metal.
• Able to produce components accurately and to tight tolerances.

• Health and safety conscious with a proactive approach.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
• Relevant fabrication, welding or engineering qualification.
• Experience with CNC press brakes or other CNC fabrication machinery.
• Continuous improvement or proto@type manufacturing experience.
