We are seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our busy and friendly warehouse team in Peterlee. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, safety-conscious individual who has forklift experience and is comfortable working in a cold environment.
The Role
As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play an important role in ensuring goods are handled and stored correctly while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with company procedures.
Load, unload, move and store goods efficiently.
Ensure all products are handled carefully and stored correctly.
Follow all health and safety regulations and workplace procedures.
Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Work effectively as part of a busy warehouse team.
Candidate Requirements
Valid FLT Counterbalance licence – essential.
Previous counterbalance forklift driving experience preferred.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Reliable, punctual and committed to full-time hours.
Comfortable working in a cold warehouse environment.
Physically fit and able to undertake general warehouse duties.
Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm.
What We Offer
£12.71 per hour plus £0.50 per hour FLT allowance (£13.21 per hour total).
Stable, full-time employment with consistent working hours.
