Multiskilled Maintenance Technician
Location:
Peterlee
Salary: £46,514 per annum

Working Hours:
Continental shifts – average of 36.5 hours per week, with a full 7-day break every rotation. A great opportunity for work-life balance.

Job Description:
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of production equipment. You’ll work hands-on across planned maintenance schedules as well as respond to breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
This is a high-demand manufacturing environment where the Multiskilled Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing faults, identifying improvements, and implementing robust repairs. You’ll be exposed to a variety of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding operations, as well as automation systems like Siemens PLCs (although transferable skills are welcomed).
Skills & Experience:
* Time-served maintenance apprenticeship (essential)
* Strong background in both planned and reactive maintenance
* Hands-on experience in a high-demand manufacturing setting
* Understanding or exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or mechanical welding
* Comfortable working with Siemens PLCs or similar systems
* Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to maintenance
