Project Manager, Operations Manager

Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000+ (depending on rate, per diem level, and weeks worked)

This position plays a crucial leadership role in delivering major above-ground storage tank construction projects that are foundational to regional infrastructure and industry operations. You’ll be the on-site driver of safety, quality, scheduling, and client coordination, ensuring projects stay on track and exceed expectations. Your expertise directly shapes project execution and site performance.

• Lead day-to-day on-site execution for new above-ground storage tank construction.
• Manage scheduling, work sequencing, safety culture, and quality control across all site activities.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, engineering support, logistics, and supply chain.
• Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress and priorities.
• Oversee documentation, reporting, cost tracking, and site compliance processes.
• Resolve field challenges proactively and implement corrective actions where required.
• Support workforce planning, mobilisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work aligns with relevant construction standards, codes, and operational requirements.
• Strong background in above-ground storage tank construction —
  sphere/tank experience is essential

• Proven on-site project management experience in industrial construction environments.
• Ability to lead teams in a 50-hour workweek environment with tight schedules.
• Skilled in safety leadership, field coordination, logistics, and project controls fundamentals.
• Confident communicator able to interface with craft teams and senior stakeholders.
• Highly organised, decisive, and comfortable managing fast-moving site operations.
• Able to travel or remain on-site as required by project schedules.
