Shipping​/Receiving Clerk

Overview

Reporting to DC Management, this position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of products that are received and shipped in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to the tasks assigned by the department management staff and communication with other departments.

• Work closely with all departments including Planning, Transportation and outside vendors.
• Maintain professional communication and interactions at all times.
• Responsible for scheduling and maintaining shift work schedule, working with management staff to plan daily workloads accordingly.
• Assemble all of the paperwork needed for the work day.
• Responsible for all incoming paperwork and documentation.
• Verify paperwork for accuracy and discrepancies.
• Distribute all related paperwork to appropriate person(s) or department(s).
• Handle filing and recordkeeping responsibility.
• Communicate any concerns with workloads and paperwork to appropriate person(s) or department(s).
• Assist with training/cross training teammates.
• Follow proper SSOP’s, GMP’S, HACCP and other plant rules.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Operate and know all distribution center equipment, identify technical issues and communicate to supervisor or appropriate department.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

• High School diploma, GED equivalency
• Minimum of two (2) years of college preferred
• Preferred three (3) years related experience in a distribution environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
