The Surveillance Operator is responsible for observing and protecting casino assets via CCTV.
Responsibilities- Observe all activities of guests and team members on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via CCTV for criminal activities and/or violations of the state lottery and gaming commission regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Monitor areas of the casino, atrium, and parking lots for safety hazards to ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
- Operate monitor room equipment.
- Complete proper reports and documentation as needed.
- Assist in training staff on CCTV equipment and alarms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of computers and CCTV equipment.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Must-Haves:
- One to three years of experience in security and/or surveillance.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
- Must be able to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Work in confined spaces with low lighting.
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent vision and hearing.
- Ability to grasp, handle, and reach with hands and fingers.
- Stand and walk for approximately 30% of the time.
