Qualified Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Associate – Shipper for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in Petersburg, VA.
This position is responsible for preparing and shipping customer orders, processing shipping paperwork, and assisting with general warehouse duties. We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computers.
No previous warehouse experience required! Training will be provided.
What You'll Do- Prepare and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Create shipping labels, manifests, and other shipment paperwork.
- Process domestic and international shipments, including USPS orders.
- Assist with international shipping quotes as needed.
- Verify order information and shipping details for accuracy.
- Use computers, printers, and shipping software to process orders.
- Perform basic printer maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, when trained and authorized.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, including recycling boxes and packaging materials.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- No previous warehouse experience required.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
- Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds to a height of approximately 4 feet.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.
- Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment.
