This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Golf Retail Assistant at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort in Liphook. Responsibilities include assisting customers in the golf shop with purchases, providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The role also involves contributing to sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the golf retail shop.
- To have a good knowledge and understanding of all hotel facilities and outlets.
- To assist in ensuring that exceptional customer service is always delivered within the store and on course.
- To ensure a customer receives a warm friendly welcome and to always communicate with them in a professional and courteous manner
- Monitor customer service levels and make sure they are kept up in line with 59 club, Hotel and Under Armour criteria.
- To work in accordance with the daily procedures outlined and ensure that all tasks are completed or handed over before finishing the required shift
- To ensure that all areas of the Golf Store are always kept to a high level of cleanliness
- To take all relevant calls to the Golf Store to input all relevant information efficiently and accurately and to control and manage all tee times for the golf course
- Ensuring that all rental items have a deposit taken and a disclaimer completed for each buggy used. The disclaimer must be completed before usage is allowed
- A valid PGA membership is advantageous
- Be well presented and have good interpersonal skills
- Smart personal presentation and polite and friendly manner
