Required Skills:

Board certification in Neurosurgery (no BE candidates) Proven experience in cranial and spinal surgeries Ability to perform emergent procedures and inpatient rounding Proficiency with EMR systems (Cerner preferred) Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience in a hospital-based setting Familiarity with neurocritical care Additional subspecialty training or certifications Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to hospital workflows Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of a Neurosurgery residency program Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience Active medical license in Michigan or eligible for licensure Other Requirements:
Availability to start on January 1, 2026 Ability to work the specified shift schedule (24-hour call, 14 days per month) Willingness to adhere to hospital policies regarding licensing, credentials, and compliance Must use Doctime for clocking in/out; no paper timesheets Travel expenses subject to specified policies; lodging capped at $150 including taxes No reimbursement for Med Staff Fees or third-party lodging bookings Position offers hourly pay at competitive rates, with payments made weekly via direct deposit Bring your expertise to Petoskey and enjoy a rewarding locum opportunity that combines professional fulfillment with excellent support and benefits.
