Locums Nocturnist Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Nocturnist Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Petoskey, MI. This position provides overnight care for adult inpatient medical patients in a hospital-based setting, with an average census of approximately 16 patients per day. The ideal candidate has strong internal medicine skills and experience managing adult inpatients outside the ICU/CCU.

• 12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required
• Initially,one shift every four weeks, transitioning to every other week beginning in December

• Provide overnight medical care for adult hospitalized patients.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress andadjust treatment as needed.
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in Cerner.
• Respondto inpatient medical needs during assigned shifts.
