Job Details:

• Work on Level 2 North, a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit with diverse patient population

• Care for patients with general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients

• Fast-paced, challenging environment with excellent learning opportunities for both graduate and experienced nurses

• Every other weekend schedule required

• No on-call responsibilities

• 2+ years of nursing experience required

• Travel experience highly preferred

• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination

• BLS (AHA) certification required

• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification

• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

• Focus on patient-centered care, patient safety, and quality care delivery

• Use clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication for comprehensive patient care

• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration

• Participate in Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) promoting healthy work environment
