American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and active MI licensure.

• Surgical Services unit within a 202-bed regional hospital offering full-service surgical and medical specialties
• Full spectrum of surgical procedures including general elective and critical/life-saving cases
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• On-call requirement of one weeknight (Monday-Thursday) from 7p-11p per week
• One weekend of on-call duty per month, rotating between day call (7a-7p Saturday and Sunday) and night call (7p-7a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Holiday coverage assigned unless contracted off

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN OR experience required
• Experience in Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urogynecology, or OB surgery preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for nursing specialties
• MI license verification through LARA and Nursys required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences
• Hospital-provided scrubs required for dress code
• Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing no more than 3 absences or late arrivals (20+ minutes) before contract termination, with exceptions considered for documented illness or hospitalization
• Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers
