Plumbing BIM Detailer – Total Mechanical

Under the direction of the Division Manager, the BIM Detailer is responsible for coordinating, designing, and formatting 3D building information model (BIM) drawings at Total Mechanical’s Corporate Headquarters – Pewaukee (Onsite). The role is full‑time, exempt, and part of the Plumbing division.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/GED or member in good standing of the applicable local bargaining unit.
• Experience:
  
  2–5 years of CAD/Revit experience; plumbing design experience preferred.
• Licenses:
  Driver’s License.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to move throughout office, construction site, and general outdoor environments.

• Project Review:
  Understand project specifications, proposals, engineering drawings, and all other pertinent information.
• BIM Model Generation:
  Create constructable 3D models and review assembly & spool drawings for fabrication with project and shop foremen.
• Documentation:
  Provide other project information/documentation as requested, manage the plan review process, and archive approved plans in electronic format.
• Clash Detection:
  Perform clash detection and communicate changes with other trades.
• Systems Maintenance:
  Maintain/update CAD and VDC systems to ensure maximum efficiency/accuracy.
