Student - Meter Shop

We Energies, subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Student - Meter Shop (Summer Vacation Relief Employee) in our Pewaukee, WI location. This position is represented by We Energies L2150 Union.

This position will start in May or June, works full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm - limited flexibility available.

Starting Pay: $20.75

• Test and clean single phase as well as polyphase electric meters, instrument transformers and protective rubber goods including gloves, sleeves, and cover‑up materials.
• Use computers with bar code scanners to log in meter device , operation and configuration of various automated test systems.
• Entry of meter register readings to databases.
• Radio transmission testing of AMI electric meters.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to defective meters.
• Preparation of tested material for distribution, warehouse support of meter inventory.
• Other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned.

• High School diploma, GED, or HSED.
• Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a Technical, Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s Degree.

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering.

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future.
