We are seeking a highly experienced First Shift Swiss Machining Lead Programmer with strong programming and setup capabilities, along with a deep understanding of Swiss-type CNC machining. Key Responsibilities- Lead the setup, programming, and operation of Swiss‑style CNC machines
- Write and edit programs at the machine and offline using G‑code and CAM software
- Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, and process documentation
- Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Perform in‑process inspections and validate first article parts using precision tools
- Mentor and support operators and junior machinists on best practices and techniques
- Partner with engineering and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and process optimization
- Maintain a strong awareness of quality standards, tight tolerances, and production efficiency
- Proven experience in Swiss CNC machining, including programming and setup
- Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and part inspection techniques
- Skilled with micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other precision instruments
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, make edits, and optimize machining cycles
- Comfortable working independently and as a team lead
- Strong understanding of machining theory, materials, and cutting tool applications
- Experience with Swiss machines
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience in a shop‑floor environment
- Ability to support both prototype and production runs
- Competitive hourly wage ($32 - $38/hour based on experience)
