Overview
Join our team and play an important role in keeping our campus safe, welcoming, and running smoothly. Under general direction of the events and grounds manager, perform various tasks related to grounds and lawn maintenance, snow removal and deicing operations, event and conference set ups, and mailroom operations, following established policies and procedures. Complete semi-skilled maintenance and repairs on campus vehicles and grounds/snow removal and deicing equipment.
The job involves physical effort in the operation of heavy vehicles and equipment such as snowplows, lawn care equipment and exposure to harsh working conditions. Employees are expected to have prior knowledge and experience to carry out assignments with minimal supervision.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate to key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and skill in all aspects of institutional grounds maintenance and landscaping.
- Proficiency in the use of mobile phones, tablets, computers, and other electronic devices.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read, understand, and work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for events, maintenance, security, and emergency situations. Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the institution. Normal working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Hours are subject to change during the winter season.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver's license with acceptable driving record. Maintain driver’s license and acceptable record through the course of employment at WCTC.
The Groundskeeper supports the Facilities department and available to start on/or before September 15, 2025.

Wage: Hourly wage is determined based on relevant experience and review of internal equity.
