Responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude; will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

Shift: 5:00AM-1:30PM, Tuesday-Saturday    PREVIOUS RETAIL AND WAREHOUSE EXPERIENCE A PLUS!

** What You’ll Do
** As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‐run store experience within our Fresh departments.  You’ll:
* Build rapport with customers.
* Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
* Communicating with Meijer vendors and checking in product
* Utilize powered equipment such as pallet jack, stand up and sit-down forklifts, and scissor lift.
* Handle Hazardous Waste product and processing expired product
* Responsible for reclamation and cardboard baler
* Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
* Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
* Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
* Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
* This position is applicable to the following departments:
Grocery, Grocery Backroom, Deli, Meat, and Produce.
