Operations Manager
Cash Construction, a Mas Tec company, is currently hiring for a Utility Superintendent for our sites in the state of Texas.
The Superintendent II is a leader whose primary responsibility is to supervise the day-to-day field construction of a project or multiple projects, ensuring completion on schedule, within budget, safely, and with quality. Successful candidates must have experience and knowledge in earthwork, underground utility work, subgrade/base and paving.
Relocation assistance will be provided if needed. This position offers a bonus plan, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance, fuel card, and toll tag.
Location & Travel DetailsThis is an onsite position, based at our client site in the Austin, TX/Pflugerville, TX area. Hybrid work is a possibility on a case-by-case basis after an initial evaluation period.

Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to field construction personnel.
- Daily/weekly scheduling of field personnel and construction operations.
- Actively assure productive work occurs in a safe and quality manner.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of project plans and specifications.
- Identify potential issues and facilitate solutions.
- Manage job material logistics, placement, and deliveries to ensure optimal workflow (applicable to earthwork and other materials).
- Maintain daily paperwork (e.g., as-built drawings, timecards, test reports, email correspondence).
- Communicate and collaborate with field staff, management, suppliers/vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and manage employee attendance, ensuring timely arrival and notifying crew of rain days or other disruptions.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program; conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Review safe work plans/hazard assessments with crew prior to job commencement.
- Work with the Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents, or near misses, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to protect personal safety and the wellbeing of others.
- Preferred 3–5 years of experience as a Superintendent; ability to travel around various Texas projects.
- Valid and active OSHA 30 certification.
- Trench Safety and Excavation certification (preferred).
- CPR / First Aid certification (preferred).
- Computer skills are a plus.
